Description

USDA Forest Service, Savannah River will be renovating one of its office buildings located on the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, SC. The building size is approximately 3,750 square feet of floor space. Primary construction of the building is slab on grade, masonry block exterior walls, interior wood stud and gypsum sheathing and shed metal roof. Removations will be primarily to the interior envelope of building but not limited to the following items: 1. Remove and replace electric and telecommunication distribution system throughout building. 2. Remove and replace suspended drop ceiling. 3. Remove and replace flooring with carpet. 4. Add kitchenette in conference room. 5. Skim coat all walls and repaint. 6. Remove and reconfigure interior wall locations as indicated. 7. Replace all door frames, doors and hardware. 8. New manhole installation and sewage pipe connect adjacent to building. 9. No renovations to existing restrooms, fire alarm system, fire alarm sprinkler system or HVAC. The building will be vacant during construction. Estimated time to complete work is 90 days. SRS is a restricted access Government facility. Non U.S. citizens will be required to get prior approval before coming on the Site which could require as long as 30 days.
