- Description
- FAMILY HOUSING LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION AT NAVAL AIR STATION, NORTH ISLAND, CORONADO, CALIFORNIA This is a Firm Fixed Price construction contract. The work includes site landscaping and irrigation improvements for 32 historical dwelling units (22 Junior Officers and 10 Enlisted Quarters) at the Naval Air Station, North Island, Coronado, CA. The dwelling units are located within the Base on both Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard and Wright Avenue. Site landscape improvements consist of tree and plant removal, lawn renovation, and tree, shrub and groundcover planting. Site irrigation improvements consist of a fully automatic, state of the art Calsense irrigation system. Site improvements shall be installed with minimal disturbance to the residents within six installation phases. -- Estimated cost is between $250,000 to $500,000. -- Contract to be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal will be most advantageous to the Government considering Past Performance, Technical Expertise and Price, with possible oral presentation. -- The Government reserves the right to award to other than the proposer submitting the lowest price. -- A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday, 21 March 2001. Site visit is scheduled at 9:00 A.M. at the site. The pre-proposal conference will be held right after the site visit at Building 343 at NAS North Island. All prospective offerors are urged to attend this conference. In the interest of saving time and dependent upon the interest of prospective contractors, the Government is planning to provide a bus service, leaving Naval Station parking lot (2575 Callagan Highway, Bldg. 99, Naval Station, San Diego, CA 92136-5198) at 8:30 A.M. to the site at Naval Air Station North Island then to Bldg. 343 for the pre-proposal conference. All who joined the group from the start will be shuttled back to Naval Station parking lot. Hard copies will not be available. All amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the Internet.
