Description

DESC: The 437th Contracting Squadron, Charleston AFB intends to negotiate and award a contract for official and leisure travel operations at Charleston AFB. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, training and other items as necessary to perform operations of commercial travel services at Charleston AFB. The proposed contract is being considered as 100% set aside for small business. This acquisition will be accomplished as a commercial purchase using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 13. The performance period is one base year beginning 1 Aug 01 through 31 Jul 02, plus two 6-month option periods beginning with the period 1 Aug 02 through 31 Jan 03. Current estimated travel volume is projected to be approximately 3 million dollars annually. The Government will furnish the contractor the following facilities: office area of approximately 336 square feet. No separate Storage area will be provided. This contract will contain a special, No Cost Termination for Convenience of the Government Clause for implementation of a Defense Travel System (DTS) contract for official travel and an Air Force-wide Leisure Travel program. Basis of award will be past performance, discount, concession, and/or transaction fees with past performance and fees being of equal value. Release of the solicitation will be via the internet only. Interested parties may download the solicitation from http://www.eps.gov, where it is expected to be posted on or about 16 Mar 01. No paper copies of this solicitation will be issued. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. When the solicitation is posted, it is imperative interested parties review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr2000.com prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
