Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure services from Giesecke and Devrient America, Inc. to modify two (2) existing Offline Currency Inspection Systems, with an option to modify an additional system. The modifications will be made to the currency inspection module of the existing currency inspection systems. Giesecke and Devrient America, Incorporated is the original manufacturer of the inspection module. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302 and 15.002. See numbered Note 22. The resultant purchase order will exceed the simplified acquisition threshold and the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15 shall be used.
