Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Cascade Microtech, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon, for a Microchamber Upgrade Kit with Accessories that will serve to upgrade the existing Cascade Microtech probe station at NIST. Cascade Microtech is the only manufacturer that can supply a field installable microchamber kit that is compatible with the existing probe station. The Cascade Microtech Probe station is a precision low noise platform and associated viewing optics that allows the electrical testing of 8 in diameter silicon wafers. The micro chamber upgrade allows the station and wafer chuck to be electrically and optically shielded so measurements of extremely low level currents can be performed.***** Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within ten (10) weeks from receipt of purchase order (ARO).*****No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by March 13, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
