Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking information for the MULTIPURPOSE PROTECTIVE SOCK (MPS) that will specifically provide Chemical Biological (CB) protection and friction protection to areas of the foot when worn inside warfighter footwear. This requirement stipulates that the MPS must be capable of withstanding sustaining foot movement for all operational scenarios, provide at least 12 hours (T) of protection after 30 days of wear and after exposure to a liquid challenge of 10g/m2 (HD, TGD, and VX) or a vapor challenge of 5000 ct. The MPS must also be launderable. All vendors having the capability of meeting these requirements are requested to submit four (4) copies of relevant documentation in response to this Request for Information at no cost to the Government. Written responses should be submitted not later than close of business 2 April 2001. Information submitted may be used for subsequent invitations for bid or requests for proposals. The submission of the product information should not be construed as a commitment to procure equipment. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. Information submitted may be made available to non-Government personnel therefore, submission of information shall be deemed permission to do so. No telephonic responses will be accepted.
