Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item for the Department of Veterans Affairs and is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not requested; and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. Procurement of this item is on a full and open competition basis. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-23. The North American Industry Classification system code is 313210. The VA Maryland Health Care System intends to purchase Towel, bath, 100% cotton 20 inches wide 40 inches long 6 lbs per dz. Name woven on 3 lines across both ends "DEPARMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS-NOT FOR SALE" 12 per pkg. Qty 2500 DZ. Item must be pre-washed. Item provided must be labeled/marked with woven name identical to existing stock. Variation in marking will NOT be accepted. Samples of item may be obtained by contacting the Laundry Plant Manager (Steve Parrish) at 410-642-2411 ext 1006. Vendors submitting quote must be able to meet required deliver date and must so certify when submitting quote. This procurement shall include shipping FOB destination. The following incorporated clauses and provisions are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items, includes addenda, 52.233-2; Offerors are to include a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3 (including VAAR 852.219-70), with their offer. Also, included, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, includes 52.219-8, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.225-3.
