Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to solicit for purchase of 73 each Power Supply, AAI Drawing No. 62828-90161-1 or Astec America, Inc. P/N 29D5-C2A-371-PFIK-S1869, NSN: 6130-01-368-8643, ASN: S100-1A5PS1. The drawings for these items are considered source controlled. The only approved source of supply known for these items is Astec America, Inc., Oceanside, CA 92054. These items are being purchased for the National Weather Service to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center. These items support the Automated Surface & Observation System (ASOS) Electronic Technician (ET) spares kit program. As these parts are in support of the current ASOS program, alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. Any small business sources, able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment. Also include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other government agency to which it has previously provided these items. The information should be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to telephone number 816-426-7530, ATTN: Karen Christian. Failure to provide the required information will deem your request non-responsive. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice. The anticipated award date shall be within 20 days after date of this announcement. The NAICS code for this action is 33429. This requirement shall be considered a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency.
