Description

This acquisition is to acquire four (4) Multi-role Electro-Optical End-to-End Test Sets (MEON), P/N EU00001-02-FG. Delivery will be 30 days after contract award for the MEON and related software. Bar code markings are required in accordance with MILSTD 1189A/129K. Packaging and packing shall be in the contractor's best commercial practice IAW ASTM D 3951-98. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format FAR Part 12.6 and 13.601 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The request for proposal number assigned to this acquisition is DAAB07-01-R-B228. Solicitation requirements and incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-01, 02, and 03. This acquisition is a sole source negotiation with Comptek Amherst Systems, Inc., Buffalo, NY. Comptek Amherst Systems Inc. is the sole commercial distributor in the United States (U.S.) for the MEON which is produced by Elettronics (UK) LTD. Offerors are advised of the applicability of the following FAR clauses and provisions: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items, 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification -- Commercial Items, 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, 52-212-5, Contract Commercial Items.
