Description
Repair Runway Wiring and Transformers. The successful contractor shall have previous flight line/airfield series circuit experience, and this experience shall have completed in a fully successful and operational system. The Contractor shall demo the existing cable, series transformers and connectors that comprise the existing runway edge light circuit and south threshold system, this includes the meatball markers, and signage that are on the runway circuits. The contractor shall install new #6 airfield copper cable, new series transformers and new connectors resulting in a completely new cabling and transformers for the runway. The Contractor shall install four (4) red flashing lights, mounted one on each of the four corners of Bldg. 10's catwalk, 14 inches high. The fixtures shall be Crouse-Hinds #40940-116, and the flasher assembly Crouse-Hinds #70006 (or equivalents). The system shall be circuited to a new 120V, 20A toggle switch and box located in the tower cab. Performance Period: 120 days Construction Estimated $100,000 and $500,000 The approximate issue/response date will be 15 MAR 2001. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. See our Web page. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
