Description

The work in this project is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision as necessary to perform maintenance and repairs to ground level crane and railroad trackage. The work will include quarterly preventative maintenance to crane rail switches, turntable frogs, and railroad pavement switches at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine. The NAICS code for this procurement is 234990with a size standard of $27,500,000. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. The period of performance is one calendar year with options for up to an additional two calendar years. This solicitation will be a combination of Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Act requirements. There will be only one Davis Bacon Act wage determination included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are advised they must include in their offered prices for the option years any increases needed for wages and fringe benefits for construction work under the Davis-Bacon bid line items of the contract. The resultant contract will include Service Contract Act, Davis-Bacon Act, and Fair Labor Standards Act labor clauses. The response date shown above is an estimated date. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised for solicitation issued after May 31, 1998, failure to registered in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
