- Description
- Demolition of Various Facilities (Buildings) at Naval Weapons Station Earle, Colts Neck, NJ. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, disposal, and supervision to demolish Buildings C-16 (Base Bid), 544 (Option 1), and FA-1 (Option 2) as described herein. Work includes the complete removal of all reinforced concrete, foundations, walls, asphalt, dirt, piping, insulation, electrical, partitions, etc. for complete building/structure removal for specified buildings; all terminations, relocation, capping, etc. of all utilities associated with each building/structure; asbestos removal; complete restoration of site(s) and surrounding areas including all excavation, backfill, compaction, seeding, grading, etc.; and all other incidental and related work including site improvements. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price type contract. All work shall be completed in strict accordance with the specifications. The estimated price for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid Bond required. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 235940, Wrecking and Demolition Contractors, and the size standard is $7.0 million. The solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns, with a 10% Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns. HUBZone Small Business Concerns must be certified by the Small Business Administration for receiving the bid evaluation preference. Work shall be completed within 120 days commencing 15 days after notice of award. The completion date will be extended by 60 days if Option 1 for Bldg. 557 is exercised. The completion date will not be further extended if Option 2 for Bldg. FA-1 is exercised (either alone or in conjunction with Option 1). The solicitation will be issued on or about March 16, 2001. The date for the pre-bid conference/site visit will be included in the solicitation documents when released. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Specifications WILL NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the INTERNET is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are required to register on the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ESOL web site for this procurement when specifications become available. Official Planholders will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. Planholders lists will not be faxed and will only be available from the website. Contractors interested in obtaining notification when the Invitation for Bid package is electronically posted on the Internet may fax on your company letterhead to Felicia Lewis at (732) 866-1011 the following information: Solicitation number and title, complete address, point of contact, area code and phone number, fax number, and E-mail address. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. All contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DoD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing either of the websites at http://www.ccr2000.com or www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil, or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.73. Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR Database with their offer. Exact IFB issuance and closing dates, as well as the date and location of the pre-bid conference will be set forth prior to release of the IFB.
