Description

The Forest Service intends to acquire contractor-owned, contractor-operated, Call-When-Needed (CWN), Type III, Helicopter Services for wildland fire suppression and administrative flights. Helicopter shall be certified in normal and transport category. Helicopter shall carry fully rated capacity of passengers and/or cargo as determined by the Standard Interagency Load Calculation. Contractor shall be certifed under Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 133, 135, and 137. Helicopter shall be based within one (1) hour flight time from Missoula International Airport. Firm, fixed price contract(s). Multiple awards possible. Contract time is one year. The Government has option to renew the contract(s) for 2 additional one year periods. Work is estimated to start on June 1, 2001. Proposals are due April 13, 2001. This is a formally negotiated procurement requiring submission of a technical and business proposal.
