Description

The Government is accepting proposals for a transportation service contract requiring emergency and basic ambulance services and invalid coach vehicle servcies for (3)three VA Pittsburgh Healthcare facilities: (1) Highland Drive Division; (2) Heinz Division; and University Drive Division. These services are requested for a base year of (6) six months beginning 4/1/01 and continuing thru 9/30/01 with (2) two one-year option renewals at the Governments option. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside Acquisition. There is a geographical restriction of no more than (60) sixty miles from the City of Pittsburgh's boundary line. Requests will not be honored from companies who exceed this (60) sixty mile limitation. All qualified responsive and responsible offerors may submit a proposal which if timely received shall be considered by the agency. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 621910 for this acquisition. Award shall be subject to the availability of fiscal year 01 funds. A pre bid conference will be held on 3/15/01 @ 2:00PM at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, (Highland Drive Division) 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA. 15206 in Building #4, Conference Room #362-E.
