Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source Cost Plus Incentive/Award Fee type contract to Todd Pacific Shipyard (Todd), 1801 16th Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98134 for Phased Maintenance and emergent Repair of the four (4) Auxiliary (AOE) Class Ships currently homeported in the Puget Sound, WA area. Negotiations and award will be in accordance with authority provided by the Secretary of the Navy to award a contract under the public interest exception to the requirement for full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(7) and FAR 6.302-7. The required Congressional notification was provided 23 January 2001 and award will not occur no sooner than 30 days after notification. The contemplated contract will be a multi-ship/multi-option, cost plus incentive/award fee type contract, with a base requirement of one (1) CNO scheduled availability with options for 12 additional CNO scheduled availabilities, which are anticipated to cover the remaining life cycle of the vessels. The contemplated contract will also include dedicated small business subcontracting requirements.
