Description

BACKGROUND: The U.S. Air Force, Air Command (ACC), Langley AFB, Va., is tasked with the requirement to provide radars for use at eleven (11) Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) sites. Currently, we operate a DPS-5 radar at the Cudjoe Key, FL site, and TPS-63 radars at six (6) sites, and an L88A at four (4) other sites. POTENTIAL NEED: The Air Combat Command (ACC) Contracting Squadron intends to issue a Request for Proposals for the purpose of purchasing radars for use at eleven (11) Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) sites. This is an unrestricted full and open competition under SIC code 4899, North American Industrial Code (NAICS) 51339. This solicitation is a indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract, with the resultant contract being firm fixed price. The anticipated release date for the RFP is 28 Feb 01, with a due date of 18 Apr 01. The RFP will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunites website at http://www.eps.gov. The RFP can be accessed by following links on the EPS website by entering the solicitation number in the search block on the front page. Telephonic or written requests for this RFP will not be honored. Once the solicitation is posted, it is essential for interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
