Description

Procurement of 2,200 product improved M77 grenades and 2,500 M55 detonators, in addition to analysis support for M77 grenades at White Sands Missile Range. A firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order is anticipated for award. The North Atlantic Industry Classification System Code is 332993. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on a sole source basis, to Day and Zimmerman, Inc., since they are the current Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) contractor for the Lone Star Ammunition Plant, which is the only facility presently capable of producing the PIM77 grenades. Day and Zimmerman is the only entity that possesses the required level of knowledge and experience necessary to fulfill the required tasking. The anticipated purchase order award date is scheduled NLT 30 March 2001.
