- Description
- VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY is seeking qualified firms with the capacity and capability to provide all necessary labor, materials, tools,and equipment for completion of Project 528-01-766, Install Guards on all Bumper-Handrail Assemblies throughout the parking garage. Contractor shall investigate site, prepare shop drawings, provide and install guards on the existing bumper rails in the parking garage excluding the rails on the perimeter of the structure. The total length of railing is approximately 2000 linear feet. The contractor is responsible for verifying all existing conditions and dimensions prior to construction. Drawings are provided with this solicitation to depict scope and nature of the work. Guards shall be constructed of vinyl coated chain link fencing mounted on galvanized steel post frames or similar construction which meets specified requirements. Final construction shall result in no openings below 34 inches above adjoining concrete walkway which would allow a spherical object 4 inches in diameter to pass through. The parking garage will remain in use during construction. Performance time will be 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Cost Range is between $25,000 to $100,000. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 233320, commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Government will require a 90-day acceptance period for proposals submitted. Attendance at a pre-proposal job walk tentatively scheduled for March 22, 2001 is considered essential. The solicitation and resultant contract award is subject to availability of current fiscal year funding. Solicitation packages will be available on or about March 5, 2001. Only written requests for the solicitation package will be accepted, telephone requests will not be honored. This is a small business set aside. Size standard is $27.5 million average gross receipts in the last three years.
