Description

The Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, New Cumberland, PA (DDSP) has a requirement for a Computer Lab Instructor / Technician to implement the Computer Lab and Homework Center for school-age children, ages 6-12 and teens, ages 13-18 on the installation. The purpose of the computer lab is to provide a facility where students can strengthen their academic and learning skills and increase their opportunity for computer literacy, employment skills, youth sponsorship, and recreation. The computer lab is one component of the installation's School-Age Services and Teen Program. A daily minimum of 30 school-age children and 20 teens per week are anticipated to utilize the computer lab during the school year; in the summer, 70 school-age children and 40 teens are expected to use the lab. The contractor shall have an applied knowledge of Window based DOS programs, Novell Networks, networking concepts, and applications. The contractor shall provide general subject matter and software expertise with emphasis on math, science, and language (communication) skills. Knowledge of the Internet (i.e. e-mail, World Wide Web and Gopher) is required. The unit price shall be based on an hourly rate and the contractor shall only be paid for hours worked. The contract period shall be for one (1) year base period with four (4) option years. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611420. The Small Business Size Standard is $5.0 million.
