Description

The Association of Old Crows will present a "Forecast to Industry" conference March 14, 2001. The conference theme will be "EW Renaissance" and the all day event will be hosted by the Capitol Club Chapter at the Army-Navy Country Club, Arlington, Virginia. This annual conference is unclassified and will be chaired by Mr. Mark Ronald, the President & CEO of BAE SYSTEMS, North America, who will also chair the afternoon session. Lt Gen Bruce Carlson, USAF, Director for Force Structure, Resources & Assessment, Joint Chiefs of Staff, J-8, has been invited to give the keynote address: "Budget Update & Readiness Implications." Mr. Tony Grieco, Deputy Director, Electronic Warfare, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology & Logistics), Strategic and Tactical Systems will chair the morning session. The preliminary program will include the following main topics: Congressional perspective; OSD budget perspective; Army budget perspective, Mr. Ed Bair, USA, PEO IEW&S; Navy budget perspective; Marine Corps budget perspective and the Air Force budget perspective. In addition, Col Grant (Red) Herring, USAF, OSD (AT&L) S&TS (EW), will brief "EW Success and Lt Col Linda Palmer, USAF, OSD FCT, will brief Foreign Comparative Testing. Also, Mr. Hal Gershanoff will present the JED annual status of the industry report. Finally, there will be an industry panel discussing acquisitions and mergers and how to buy and EW company. The purpose of the conference is to review key programs and fiscal realities in the President's budget. This conference will provide an important forum for the future of EW/IO programs and is for business developers, planners and strategists as well as all EW and IO professionals.
