In order for the government to make an "or equal" determination of the offered product(s), the furnished information must delineate each applicable characteristic, unit of measure, and test method of the offered product(s) directly correlated to each of the requirements delineated in the item purchase description. Failure to furnish this information/literature will result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive or may be considered as unacceptable for award in a negotiated procurement (see GSAR Clause 552.221-70). A general purpose, petroleum-based product for loosening rusted parts, displacing moisture, stopping squeaks, protecting metal against moisture, and cleaning or removing tar, grease, and adhesives. Size: The product shall be furnished in 11 oz net wt. quantities in round, compound-lined, double seamed end cans with pressure activated spray orifices in accordance with normal commercial practice. There shall be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. Each can shall be provided with a removable/replaceable metal or full-sized plastic cap or integral head configuration adequate to protect the dispenser in accordance with normal commercial practice. The filled cans shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the container during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. There shall be 12 cans to a shipping container. Shelf life code: 9 (5 years) Maximum age on delivery: 3 months WD-40 Co. p/n 10111. MUST BE WD-40 Part Number: 10111. NO SUB's ALLOWED!
