Description

The VISN 22 Network Business Center hereby gives notice of it's intent to issue a sole source contract under the simplified acquisition procedure to Haemo-Stat. Inc. to provide a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide services/resources for emergency acute Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis. Must provide Plasma Phoresis services and Hemodialysis services to the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 East Seventh St, Long Beach, CA 90822. The resulting contract will be effective for one Base Year, with the Government having the option to extend the contract for two additional one (1) Year Option periods. The start date of the contract will be on or about April 1, 2001. Award will be made as a Firm-Fixed Price Service Contract, (Commercial Item FAR Part 12) and based primarily on price and price related factors. The VA will negotiate with only one source. Services required under this solicitation are determined to be commercially available, however a recent market survey, three prior consecutive contracts and three years of market research has only revealed one source who can provide the specialized services required by this solicitation. Interested sources will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting and or exceeding the requirement stated herein at a cost more advantageous than the contractor named. Solicitation will be issued on or about March 9, 2001 with responses due on or about March 19, 2001 at 4:00 PM.
