Description

VA Puget Sound will issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ 663-43-01) on or about February 23, 2001, for paging services, including the leasing of pagers, at both the Seattle and Tacoma locations of VA Puget Sound Health Care System. As authorized by FAR 5.102(a)(7), solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and no hard copies will be provided by VA. The solicitation will be available for download at no charge at the VA Business Opportunities System website, http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. Vendors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all bid documents and any amendments, and should re-visit the VA web site periodically to look for any updates. All vendors are strongly urged to register on the bidders mailing list at the bottom of the web site in order to receive automatic notification of updates. The solicitation is offered as an 8(a) set aside provided two or more qualified 8(a) firms submit a competitive proposal. If a minimum of two (2) quotes from eligible 8(a) concerns are not received, the award will be made to a small business in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.5, provided that a minimum of two (2) competitive quotes offers are received from qualified small business concerns. If a minimum of two (2) quotes from qualified small business concerns are not received, the award will be made on the basis of full and open competition from among all responsible business concerns submitting quotes. on an unrestricted basis. The NAICC is 233320, and the small business size standard is 1500 employees. Any questions must be addressed to the contracting officer in writing, no later than 2:00pm, March 8, 2001; no telephone inquiries can be accepted. Quotes are due no later than 2:00pm, March 22, 2001.
