Description

Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to remove the existing modified bitumen roof and insulation and install new EDPM roofing, tapered insulation and flashing on the flat portions of the Station Building and the Boat Maintenance Building roofs located at U.S. Coast Guard Sandy Hook Station, Monmouth County, NJ. This Request for Quotations is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. This project is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable NAICS Code is 235610. The tentative date for receipt of quotes is 9 April 2001. Bid packages will be available on or about 9 March 2001 at a non-refundable charge of $20. Certified Checks or money orders should be made payable to Commercial Blue Print and Supply and mailed to the firm at: 83 Waverly Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Do not send fees to the Coast Guard. All relevant solicitation documents including specifications and drawings may be accessed for download for free commencing on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.eps.gov. Any amendments issued under this solicitation shall also be posted on this website. For minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises: the Department of Transportation (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
