Description

USDA, APHIS, VS intends to contract for Pseudorabies (PRV) meat juice development and demonstration project testing, with Iowa State University for a pilot program which will be in effect for about 60 working days. APHIS will award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Iowa State University. Laboratories who are interested in participating in this program after the pilot is complete should contact USDA, APHIS, MBS. Tissue samples will be sent to the laboratory by USDA employees or their designees. If needed, the awardee may be asked to take up to 20% of the samples. Samples and results will need to be archived for several years after the test is conducted. This effort is advertised as a sole source procurement in accordance with 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency under NAIC 541380, Testing Laboratories. The solicitation, 58-M-APHIS-01, will be awarded on or about Feb. 22, 2001.
