Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to issue a solicitation for technical data library and administrative support services at Naval Aviation Depot, North Island, San Diego, CA prior to 01 April 2001. This CBD Announcement is the third such announcement posted in regards to this requirement. The services, which are currently provided by Government personnel, were announced for commercial activity cost comparison study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Web Site http://www.neco.navy.mil Additional miscellaneous documents may be posted on the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego (FISC-SD) Web Site at http://www.sd.fisc.navy.mil It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor both web sites for updates and new listings. It is anticipated that the contract type will be a firm-fixed price with award fee provisions. The contract is anticipated to contain a 60 day phase in period, a Base period (expiring that same fiscal year), and four one year options. This RFP is based on full and open competition. Previous CBD Announcements are hereby cancelled and replaced by this synopsis. The government will no longer accept, accumulate or post an electronic bidders list for this requirement. Interested parties are invited to submit "Notices of subcontracting opportunities" in accordance with FAR 5.206 or obtain potential bidders information from other commercially available resources. The government will post a list of site visit attendees by Company Name only, on the FISC SD Web Site. This procurement is being conducted under Commercial Activity OMB A-76 cost comparison guidelines. If government performance is determined to be more advantageous, the solicitation will be cancelled. Only electronic copies of the solicitation and supporting documentation will be provided.
