Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Inspect Engine Room Skeg Top Plate, (2) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks, (3) Remove and Dispose of Fuel, Oil and Oily Water, (4) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (5) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (6) Perform Stern Tube/Strut Alignment Inspection, (7) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas, (8) Renew Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings, (9) Remove and Reinstall Propellers, (10) Inspect MDE Exhaust System, (11) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the V850 Transducer, (12) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, (13) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers, (14) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudders, (15) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins, (16) Preservation of Underwater Body Appendages, (17) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System, (18) Renew Starboard Side Reference Electrode, (19) Renew Cathodic Anode, (20) Provide Temporary Logistics, (21) Routine Drydocking, (22) Repair Hull Plating Cracks and Renew Hull Plating, (23) Repair Crack in Forward Fuel Tank, (24) Renew Aft Grey Water Tank Plating and Piping, (25) Renew Hull Inserts for MDE and SSDG Exhaust Systems, and Fin Cooling System, (26) Renew Fuel Station Aluminum Coupling, (27) Renew Reach Rod Deck Access Assembly, (28) Overhaul Engine Room Ventilation Fans and Louvers, (29) Renew Stripping Lines in AFT Fuel Tanks, (30) Preserve Forepeak Compartment, (31) Preserve Bilges in Aft Steering Compartment, (32) Preserve Bilge Areas Under Propeller Shafts, (33) Preserve Potable Water Tanks, (34) Preserve Main Deck, (35) Preserve Freeboard, etc. Option Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Engine Room Skeg Top Plate, (3) Minor Coating Repairs, Sewage, and Grey Water Tanks, (4) Inspect and Install Government Furnished Propeller Shaft, (5) Perform Reduction Gear-to-Propeller Shaft Alignment Inspection, (6) Remove, Fabricate, Fit, and Install Shaft Packing Bronze Sleeves, (7) Repair Propeller Root Erosion, (8) Balance Propeller, (9) Renew 18-inch Exhaust Stainless Steel Pipe, (10) Renew Upper & Lower Rudder Bearing, (11) Renew Lower Fin Stock Bearing, (12) Preserve Underwater Body, (13) Renew Port Side Reference Electrode, (14) Renew Capastic Fairing, (15) Ultrasonic Testing, (16) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, (17) Varnish Treat Fan Motors, (18) Rewind Rotor & Stator Windings for Fan Motors, (19) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s), (20) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, (21) Composite Labor Rate, etc. Vessel's homeport is located at 5 La Puntilla Final, Old San Juan, San Juan, PR 00901. Vessel is a 110-foot, "A" Class Patrol Boat. Vessel width is 21 feet 1 inch. Vessel's availability is for 42 days starting June 25, 2001. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically restricted. All referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) Drawings are also still available in hard copy. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Funds are available for this procurement. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after March 8, 2001. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
