Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is publishing this amendment synopsis under RFP DCA200-00-R-5023 for the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) Global Solutions (DGS) previously published on or about 18 October 2000. The structure of this acquisition is unchanged except that because of the significant increase in the scope of the small business set-aside portion, it is now necessary to change the NAICS code to 513310, Telecommunications Networks, Wired, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. The formal RFP is scheduled to be released in March with a projected award date of 5 September 2001. In addition, this synopsis provides notice of DISA's intention to negotiate a DOD-Wide, sole source, GSA Schedule BPA with NET Federal, (for delivery, installation and support of IDNX/Promina network equipment formerly provided under the AFNET contract, DCA200-91-D-0027) the only known source for this proprietary equipment.
