- Description
- Provide single directional light similar or equal to a PEL _6-3.5D manufactured by Vega Industries which can be seen up to 6 nautical miles during daylight hours and up to 21 nautical miles at night (25 nautical miles in white sector) 3.5 degree arc horizontal spread of light and 2.1 degrees in the vertical. 3.5 degree arc split up as follows: 1.5 degree white sector bounded by 1 degree green and 1 degree red sectors on either side. Boundary definition (transition zone between sectors) as sharp as possible, preferably under 1 minute of arc. Sector accuracy (position of sectors) within 1 minute of arc. Sectors of uniform intensity throughout entire sector. Energy efficient Low voltage power-supply 24-28 volts (direct current). Light source:250 watt halogen lamps. Anti-reflection coating to reduce glare. Day light control (DLC) /Night intensity reduction option consisting of night filters and voltage reduction. Weight of light 140 kg (300 pounds or less) dimensions of light: 1929mm (L) X 420mm (H) X 350mm (W). Item is to meet or exceed all applicable U.S. Coast Guard safety standards with a longevity of 20 Years or greater. Quote to include shipping to Juneau, Alaska. Delivery is required 45 calendar days after award. Offerors submit information to show that their qualifications meet or exceed specifications. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The National American Industrial classification system (NAICS) for this product is 488330 and the applicable size standard is 500 employees. The Small Business Administration (SBA) has determined that there are no small business manufacturers or processors in the Federal market and as such are granted a class waiver so that a nonmanufacturer does not have to furnish the product of a small business. The _List of Approved NonManufacturer Waivers_ can be located at the SBA_s Procurement Automated Source System (PASS) at http://www.sbaonline.sba.gov This procurement is set-aside for small business.
