Description

Background "Provide, install and test an upgrade to the Air Freight Terminal and explosive bunkers for Buildings 977 and 960 at Travis AFB CA. The upgrade includes dual pallet elevating transfer vehicles, multi-pallet elevating transfer vehicle, a pallet lift system and powered 463L pallet conveyor. The project also includes training of government personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer.
