Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). DESCRIPTION: Quantity is 1 each for all items. (1.)Bridgeport Series 1 Standard Milling Machine P/N: 12BR2J A4A3B1B2N3NNNY or equal. Model 2J Head (infinitely variable dual spindle speed range from 60-4200RPM); electrical to be 208VAC, 3 phase, 60HZ; spindle shall have "neutral" position; quill power feed rates to be 0.0015, 0.003, 0.006 per revolution of spindle; quill to be chrome plated and hand lapped; three locking points on the knee for rigidity; saddle locks required; all ways to be chromed both on the flat and the angle; all lead screws to be chromed; metered lube system; backlash to be adjustable to 0.003" on both lead screws; digital readout must be Sony LH51 system, X,Y,Z axis. (2.) Power Drawbar for 2J head R-8 (without NFPA electrics) P/N: 1157100 or equal. (3.) Kurt 8" Anglelock D810 vise P/N: 11680039 or equal. (4.) Kurt D80 WS Work Stop for D810 vise P/N: 11680019 or equal. (5.) Kurt Step Key 13/16 X 5/8 for D-810 vise P/N: 11680020 or equal. (6.) Set of R-8 Collets (11 collets 1/8-3/4") P/N: 12490000 or equal. (7.) Collet Tool and Accessory Tray P/N: 12490100 or equal. (8.) #3 Right Angle Attachment for 2J head P/N: 12320007 or equal. (9.) Arbor Support 1" with spacers and R.H. nut P/N: 12470087 or equal. (10.) R8 to #1 Morse Taper Adapter P/N: 12330023 or equal. (11.) R8 to #2 Morse Taper Adapter P/N: 12330024 or equal. (12.) FC-4 Fly Cutter with R-8 Shank P/N: 12310002 or equal. (13.) Gortite Way Covers P/N: 11680354 or equal. (14.) Set of Hold-Down T-nuts, bolts, blocks and clamp P/N: 11511820 or equal. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-21. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 333512 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations for the items described above are due by COB 3-8-01 and may be mailed or faxed to NASA Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135, FAX: (216) 433-2480 and include, solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b).
