Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for airfield paving, US Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Bourne, MA (Barnstable County). The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Base Bid item: Construction of a 1000 square yard hot refueling site, re-construction of an existing waste oil disposal site, construction of a 1900 square yard cold refueling site and re-construction of 4500 square yards of pavement to include removal of existing asphalt pavement and installation of concrete pavement. Four Optional Bid Items: Re-construction of 800 square yards of pavement on the east throat,. re-construction of 1800 square yards of pavement on the south apron, re-construction of 1400 square yards of pavement on the west throat and re-construction of 1200 square yards of pavement on the west apron. The estimated coast range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS Code is 234110 and the size standard is $27.5 million. Solicitation will be available on or about 03/12/2001. Bid opening is scheduled for 04/11/2001 at 2:00 pm. This solicitation and amendments will be available via the internet at www.eps.gov . A bidders list is no longer available. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
