Description

National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) Projects STL 01-0110A (Site Preparation for Installation of DMS Servers, Bldg. 36, Section 1E) and STL 01-0110B (Install UPS for DMS Servers, Bldg. 36, Section 1E) at our facility located at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO. Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the projects to prepare the site for installation of DMS Servers and to install UPS for DMS Servers. Work includes the installation of new outlets and circuits to be routed under the existing raised floor for the servers and installation of a new 80 kVA UPS along with associated components and electrical power. The two projects will be separately priced. Project 01-0110A is to be accomplished first and be completed within 60 days. The performance period for project STL 01-0110B is 120 days. Liquidated damages will apply to the projects. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has demonstrated successful experience in UPS installation in raised-floor computer areas and in routing power circuits unter raised floors. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA and OSHA requirements. The contractor may be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to reduce the disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of the projects is between $100,000 and $250,000. The facility is located at 3200 South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Aresenal in the south city area of St. Louis. The solicitation document will be available from NIMA at no charge. All interested parties must submit a written request to NIMA, PCS, MS L-13, Attention: S. This solicitation will not be available through electronic data interchange. The solicitation will include all plans and specifications required for bidding. A site visit will be scheduled and the date/time will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 7 Mar 01 and will close on or about 6 Apr 01. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS: 235310, $11.5 million. All responsible contractors with the required experience may submit a sealed bid, which shall be considered by the agency. All bids must be submitted in writing. See Note 1.
