Description

On March 1 and 2, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) will host the "13th ANNUAL HIGH-TECH CONFERENCE FOR SMALL BUSINESS" at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel located at 5400 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. The two-day Conference focuses on subcontracting and marketing opportunities for small, minority, women, and Veteran-owned businesses in the high-tech industry. During the Marketplace, one-on-one counseling opportunities are available with over 200 Exhibitors (prime contractors, government agencies, educational institutions, and other major organizations) to discuss business opportunities for small businesses. Workshops offered, which run concurrently with the Marketplace, are "U. S. Small Business Administration Programs," "How to Do Business with the Los Angeles County Agencies," "Doing Business in the Federal Government Marketplace," Marketing NASA Field Centers," Negotiating Effective Teaming Agreements," "NASA Small Business Programs and Initiatives," and other small business-related topics of interest. Our keynote speaker for March 1 is Dr. Julian Earls of NASA's John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field. Two networking receptions will provide opportunities to meet key people. A registration fee of $100 per person is due no later than February 23, 2001. Pre-registration is advised as this event is well attended.
