Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract to Caf Continental to provide food services for the U.S. District Court in Greenbelt, Maryland. The reason for the sole source is due to the difficulty in attracting contractors to submit proposals in the past. The contractor shall provide a variety of food for breakfast and lunch. The contractor shall also provide an on-site manager responsible for the operation of the facility. In addition, the contractor shall provide preventive maintenance on the food service equipment. This is a no-cost contract; the services are provided to the Government at no cost. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. All proposals received within fifteen (15) days of after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract will be issued without further notice.
