- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel, JP-5 Fuel, and Lube Oil Tanks, (2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (3) Overhaul Stern Tube Seals, (4) Service Both Onboard Controllable Pitch Propeller Systems, (5) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings, (6) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring/Renew DSN-450 Doppler Speed Log Transducer, (7) Renew Ventilation Ductwork, (8) Overhaul and Test Valves, (9) Renew Auxiliary Salt Water (ASW) Cooling Piping, (10) Renew Hydraulic Oil Fill and Lube Oil Fill Deck Connections, (11) Modify Stern Tube Seal Cooling Systems, (12) Service Rudder Assemblies, (13) Renew Fin Stabilizer Seals and Upgrade Bearings, (14) Overhaul Anchors, Anchor Chains and Catpawls, (15) Renew Portlights, (16) Preserve Chain Lockers, (17) Renew Navigation Running Light Shield, (18) Coating Thickness Measurement Non-Destructive -- Underwater Body, (19) Preserve Freeboard, (20) Preserve MK75 Weather Shield and MK 92 Radome and Base, (21) Renew Cathodic Protection System, (22) Provide Temporary Logistics, (23) Routine Drydocking, etc. Option Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Minor Coating Repairs, Diesel Fuel, JP-5 Fuel and Lube Oil Tanks, (2) Stern Tube Preservation, (3) Renew Shaft Sleeves, (4) Renew Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (5) Remove and Reinstall Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs, (6) Valve Renewal, (7) Rudder Stock Renewal, (8) Lower Bearing Renewal, (9) Renew Fin Shaft Sleeve, (10) Preserve Underwater Body, Condition A, B, or C, (11) Provide Additional Temporary Messing, Berthing, and Logistics, (12) Composite Labor Rate, (13) Laydays, etc. Vessel's homeport is located at CG Key West, FL. Vessel is a 270-Foot Medium Endurance Cutter. Vessel width is 38 feet 5/8 inch. Vessel's availability is for 49 days starting 22 August 2001. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically restricted. All referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) Drawings are also still available in hard copy. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Funds are available for this procurement. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on of after March 7, 2001. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. ATTENTION HUBZONE COMPANIES: At the present time, this acquisition is being issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to wculbreth@mlca.uscg.mil or by fax (757) 628-4676/75. HUBZone Companies, in response please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers and (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. (d) If your company does not own the drydock, a letter of commitment from the company providing the drydock committing to provide a drydock during the time period of this availability. Your response is required by March 5, 2001. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. "ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
