Description

NASA/HQ plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the setting up and tearing down of the exhibits that will be displayed at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center for the "TURNING GOALS INTO REALITY CONFERENCE" in May 2001. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/HQ intends to acquire these services from Hargrove Inc. The contractor shall organize and perform pre-conference, on site and post conference activities that support each element of NASA's technology exhibit showcase. Hargrove is the only source approved by the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center to provide these services on their facility. Hargrove meets all RRITC requirement for security and bonding. The Government intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on March 7, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
