Notes 1, 22 & 23. This announcement is for information purposes only and will be made on a sole source basis by 2 pm on 3/6/01. This award is a planned solicitation under the simplified acquisition process and in accordance with the FAR Subpart 13.5. The Food and Drug Administration [FDA] and the Center for Veterinary Medicine [CVM], intends to award a purchase order to Xenogen, Alameda, CA., for an IVIS tm imaging system that features low light imaging designed for detecting low levels of light after transmission through mammalian tissues to also include the following: roper LN-1300EB cooled CCD camera, navitor 50 mm f0.95 lens, cryogenic cooling system, xenogen specimen chamber w/sample illuminator, w/sample heater and filter wheel, windows 98 control computer w/high-resolution monitor, controls software including one acquisition copy of livingimage tm solftware, one analysis copy of livingimae tm software, lab book for camera settings. Above items must have heated stage to prevent shock in anesthetized animals; red sensitive detector with 100 times sensitivity, seven position filter wheel for multi-color detection, refrigeration unit that cools camera, low background, and image analysis software that is integrated into collection and archiving software, and includes installation and shipping. The provision 52.232-33 Mandatory Information Electronic Funds Transfer Payment applies.
