Description
This is an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery solicitation for Sleeves, Centrifugally cast. Solicitation will consist of a base quantity (1 set for the 726 class and 1 set for the 688 class); two option quanities with each option quantity consisting of 1 set for the 726 class and 1 set for the 688 class. Award may be made on 1 set at a time with multiple awards possible within the set. Required delivery is 90 days after effective date of contract. Inspection at source, acceptance at destination. FOB destination which is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton WA 98314-5000. A portion of the requirements are Level 1 Subsafe material. ISO 9002 (MIL-I-45208) Inspection System required. Hydrostatic testing, Material Certification (Chemical/ Mechanical); Radiography, Weldability and Liquid Penetrant may be required for each sleeve. The following are the requirements for the 726 Class. (1) 1 ea Seal/Bearing Sleeve for stern tube shaft: 28.500 in OD x 26.185 in ID x 12 ft 9 in long. Material: Inconel 625 IAW MIL-C-24615A, Grade B, centrifugally cast. (2) 1 ea Coupling Cover Sleeve: 28.500 in OD x 26.220 in ID x 39.500 in long. Material: Copper-nickel 70-30 per ASTM B369-96, Alloy C06400 centrifugally cast. (3) Coupling Cover, Sleeve for prop shaft: 28.500 in OD x 26.220 in ID x 24.750 in long. Material: Copper-nickel 70-30 per ASTM B369-96, Alloy C96400, centrifugally cast. (4) 1 ea Stern tube shaft grounding device sleeve: 28.500 in OD x 26.10 in ID x 14 ft 10 in length. Material: nickel-copper IAW MIL-C-24723, Composition M30C. The following are the requirements for the 688 class. (1) 1 ea Forward Bearing Journal Sleeve, 25.250 in OD x 22.900 in ID x 8 ft 11 in long. Material: Copper-nicket 70-30 per ASTM B369-96, Alloy C96400, centrifugally cast. (2) 1 each Propeller Bearing/grounding device for prop shaft, sleeve; 25.250 in OD x 22.855 in ID x 10 ft 6" long. Material: Copper-nicket 70-30 per ASTM B369-96, Alloy C06400, centrifugally cast.
