Description

This solicitation is to provide a refurbishing program for firefighting tools provided by the Redmond Air Center, Regional Fire Cache in Redmond, Oregon. The refurbishing program will consist of the following services: Inspection, reconditioning or replacement of handles, assuring tool head tightness, cleaning, sharpening, deburring, refinishing, and packaging and delivery of tools back to the National Interagency Support Cache. This contract is an indefinite quantities contract and will be a three year contract. The volume of work may vary widely from year to year because of unknown and unpredictable fire conditions througout the Pacific Northwest. Minimum size lot of 50 tools to a maximum size lot of 700 tools. The contractor shall satisfactorily process up to 700 tools per 24 hour period from time of pick up. A lot is considered to be a mixture of tools. Examples are: Pulaski's, shovels, McLeod's, and Adz Hoes. Contract period from Notice to Proceed is estimated to be from May 1, 2001 through December 30, 2003. Solicitation will be issued on March 2, 2001 and date for receiving quotes will be March 29, 2001, close of business. See Numbered Notes 1.
