Description

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order to TANO Marine Corporation, 5700 Citrus Blvd., Suite E, New Orleans, LA 70123, for a prototype data logging system. The prototype data logging system will be replacing the existing data logging system that is a integral subsystem of the Main Propulsion Control and Monitoring System (MPCMS). This acquisition will include some engineering services, drawings, equipment, software and documentaton. Therefore, our office will be obtaining pricing directly from TANO. The RFQ number DTCG40-01-Q-70400. The RFQ will be issued on or about February 20, 2001, via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS systems for RFQ release and all subsequent amendements. Written quotations are due on March 5, 2001. Appicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 334513 and size standard is 500 employees. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.(Only one responsive source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). However, all responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, (DBE)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
