Description

The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about March 5, 2001 at http://www.eps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon request. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform homepier dockside repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items. Base Items: (1) clean and inspect diesel fuel and oil tank(s), (2) preserve diesel fuel tanks, (3) clean and inspect ballast tanks, (4) clean and inspect sewage and grey water collection and holding tank(s), (5) inspection of chain in-haul device (level II), (6) inspect and overhaul mechanical chain stoppers (level II), (7) overhaul anchor windlass assembly, (8) inspect and test small boat davit (level II), (9) inspection and test of buoy crane (level II), (10) preserve and disinfect potable water tank(s), (11) provide temporary logistics, and (12) GFP Report in Accordance With Solicitation Section H. Option Items: (1) Rechrome luff cylinder. The vessel is a 175 Foot Class Coastal Buoy Tender, which is 175 foot long and 36 feet in width. Vessel's homepier is located at 600 8th Avenue SE in St. Petersburgh, FL 33701. Vessel's minimum depth of water is 18 feet, and the minimum height clearance is 93 feet. The performance period is thirty-two (32) calendar days beginning on or about June 18, 2001. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about March 5, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
