Description

The information contained in this synopsis was previously published in the Commerce Business Daily on 29 November 2000. The Government intends to negotiate a cost plus fixed fee contract for logistical support services as required by the Commanding Officer, Atlantic Fleet Integrated Logistics Overhaul Activity (LANTFLTILOACT) through full and open competition. A small business subcontracting plan will be required as part of a response to the solicitation. The subcontracting goal is for 25% of the dollar value of the labor hours to be awarded to Small Businesses, 8(a) organizations, women-owned small businesses, hubzone and American veteran owned companies. The contractor will be required to support LANTFLTILOACT's primary mission of Integrated Logistics Overhaul and secondary mission of material redistribution. The required support for LANTFLTILOACT's primary and secondary mission includes configuration analysis, planned maintenance system analysis, technical manual analysis, repair parts analysis, post availability logistics support, target allowance technique, removal of excess material, material return program tracking, shipping, receiving, inventorying, storing, on-site support, system change implementation, system procedures and documentation, problem identification and analysis, and automated information systems support. Additional specifications and task descriptions will be provided in the solicitation. The contract will be awarded for a base year and will have provisions for four additional option periods of up to one year each. The solicitation will be issued on or about 1 March 2001.
