Description

In accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, the Contracts Department of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to procure just-in-time direct vendor delivery of ship-board marine paint under associated National Stock Numbers (NSNs). The contract will be a firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract for one base year with two, one year options. Contract will be a Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) contract for marine paints only for shipboard use in the San Diego area. Any offeror responding to this announcement must be able to support use of the Government Credit Card in the placement of orders. Each offeror must also submit commercial catalogs containing the requested and other related items, with government discounts, for ultimate availability via the Internet. This is an unrestricted procurement, all responsible sources may submit an offer. All items delivered FOB Destination. The item specifications, delivery requirements and estimated quantities will be specified in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted by 1 March 2001 on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The NECO web site can also be accessed by going through the FISC-SD web link listed below. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced web links frequently for updates to any and all documents. The solicitation will be issued with the anticipation of obtaining current pricing and parts information for all NSN listed. All prospective offerors are cautioned that in the event the Government is unable to determine price reasonableness based on the offers received and market analysis, the Government will not issue a contract. This decision is solely the decision and right of the Government. All efforts performed and all cost expended by prospective offerors in providing information requested by the solicitation are not subject to reimbursement by the Government. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The Government does not anticipate paper copies of these documents to be issued.
