Z -- WILLIAMSTOWN, MA, SECTION 14, EMERGENCY STREAMBANK PROTECTION

Description: Work includes placing a stone slope revetment along the left bank of the Hoosic river to protect the two sewer interceptor lines; clearing and grubbing approximately 300 linear feet of riverbank; and the placement of a graded system of stone slope protection. The stone protection consists of a 27 inch layer of rip rap on a 1 vertical to 2 horizontal slope underlain by a 1 foot layer of stone and a 1 foot layer of gravel bedding. The estimated cost of the work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 150 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. THIS PROJECT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. Solicitation shall be made available via the Internet on or about 3/5/01. No paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will be available. Prospective bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation.
