Description
Synopsis: Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the George Washington Memorial Parkway Project PRA-GWMP 11(1), in Arlington County, Virginia and in Washington, D.C. The project work includes concrete removal (hydrodemolition), granite cobble paving, cleaning masonry, bridge deck repairs, structural concrete, sidewalk replacement, expansion joints, underside arch repairs, traffic control, and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid documents will be issued on or about March 5, 2001. Bids will be due on or about April 5, 2001. Interested parties should telephone 800-892-8776 to order bid documents. There is no fee for bid documents. Please call 703-404-6288 to verify availability of the bid documents. Final issue and due dates and the list of planholders will be posted on our website under AProcurement Information@. Internet address: www.efl.fha.dot.gov. All requests for bid documents will be mailed first class. It is strongly recommended that requests for bid documents be received 7 calendar days before bid opening to ensure receipt of requested materials. Requests for 'faxing' or overnight mailing will not be accepted. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
