- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. A written solicitation will be issued and proposals are being requested. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal(RFP)N00102-01-R-1917. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in FAC 90-32, Part 12. The associated SIC is 7011. The Small Business Size Standard is $5,000,000.00. Three(3) lots of rooms will be required in support of various ships to be located at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard commencing 24 MAY 01 through 31 MAY 02. Rooms will be required for the following estimated dates: (1) Lot will run from 4/27/01 through 3/31/02 for 25 rooms (8,475 room days); (2) Lots will run from 5/25/01 through 5/31/02 for 30 rooms each (11,160 room days per lot). At a minimum, mandatory room specifications are: Minimum size of living area to be 196 square feet, single occupancy, excluding the bathroom facilities area, balconies and closets; Provide housekeeping service Monday through Friday on an "as needed" basis; Both smoking and non-smoking rooms available; Nineteen (19)inch color TV or better in operating condition with remote control; Independently occupant controlled air conditioning and heating units in good working order available year round; Location of the property must be within 5 miles traveling main routes to the front entrance of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard; Check in and check out times will be staggered; Access to ALL hotel facilities as regular guests to include, but not limited to gyms, pools, restaurants, continental breakfast, lounges, etc.; All rooms occupied by PNS military personnel require a refrigerator not less than 3 CU FT with a freezer to be .2 CU FT or larger. Total of 3.2 CU FT or larger; All rooms require a sprinkler system/smoke detector in operating condition; A minimum of three grounded outlets and no use of extension cords to prevent hazardous safety/fire conditions; Laundry facilities (washer/dryer) on premises or within a reasonable distance. THE PNS BEACH ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO "SELL BACK" ROOMS NOT BEING UTILIZED BY PNS PERSONNEL TO THE CONTRACTED MOTEL. THE CONTRACTED MOTEL CANNOT UTILIZE THESE ROOMS WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS OTHER THAN PNS PERSONNEL IF THE GOVERNMENT IS PAYING FOR THEM. THE CONTRACTED MOTEL WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ROOM NUMBERS AND ROOM KEYS TO THE PNS BEACH ADMINISTRATOR IN THE EVENT OF VACANT ROOMS BEING PAID FOR BY THE GOVERNMENT. In the event that additional rooms are vacated by PNS personnel, the PNS Beach Administrator reserves the right to sell back unoccupied rooms. The contracted motel(s) must make it known to the PNS Beach Administrator when vacant rooms are available under contract prior to accepting additional room days. ANY additional rooms requested or extended beyond the scope of the original contract will be at the prior, mutually agreed upon, contracted price per room day. Invoices WILL be paid on a bi-weekly basis. NOTE: Military personnel assigned to each property are responsible for all expenses incurred beyond the scope of the contract. The Government is responsible for the accommodations of the military personnel only. Should the motel agree to provide additional services, the basis thereof and charges for such services are strictly between the motel and the military personnel. Commercial clauses will apply.
