- Description
- This announcement is for an Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Commercial Repairs to the U.S. Drift Collection Boat "Driftmaster". The solicitation for this effort shall be available upon issuance of this announcement. The solicitation, inclusive of the full effort specifications shall be posted on the Corp of Engineers, N.Y. District Website: http://www.nan.usace.army.mil/. A short description of the effort is as follows: a. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, fittings, equipment, tools, power, heat, water, etc., and performing all work on U.S. Drift Collection Boat "DRIFTMASTER". b. The major workscope includes drydocking the vessel and cleaning and painting the hull, decks and fittings and miscellaneous modifications and repairs noted in accordance with specifications. c. The contractor shall furnish the necessary facilities for and shall bear the expense of any movement of the plant while it is in his or her possession. d. Specifications prescribe the requirements for the repair of the DRIFTMASTER. The contractor's work shall comply with (US Coast Guard "Rules and Regulations for Subchapter I, Vessels") as found in the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 46, CFR) and American Bureau of Shipping "Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels". Prior to the award of any contract under the solicitation the successful bidder will be required to enter into a "Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels". Bidders that entered into the agreement prior to this solicitation need not comply with this clause. The successful bidder must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR)Database prior to award. All bidders are advised to be in CCR prior to submitting their bids. See Note(s) 1.
