Description

The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Polytec PI, 23 Midstate Drive, Suite 212, Auburn, MA 01501, (508) 832-3456, ATTN: Rick Powell, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, for a Laser Doppler Vibrometer System to obtain velocity data from various apparati in our Dynamic Shock Laboratory. The following are the required specifications: This system includes a high-speed controller, the laser unit, and an extended warranty. This system is a precision unit designed to acquire velocity data from vibrating surfaces, which will provide the Fuzes Branch with the capability to calibrate shock equipment and accurately characterize shock environments. This system can be configured for a wide range of velocities up to 10 m/s to accommodate numerous test requirements. Anticipated award date is 9 Mar 2001. All responses must be received in this office not later than 4:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, 7 March 2001. The government will consider all responses received within 15 days of the publication of this notice. The appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334519, with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
