Description
This is a market survey to locate additional sources for depot level support/repair for the AN/PSC-5 components. The AN/PSC-5 is a tactical manpack communications terminal. It has embedded COMSEC, provides DAMA capability, and is capable of UHF satellite and LOS modes of operation. The terminal operates in the 30 to 400 megahertz frequency range and provides both data and voice communications. The following components of the AN/PSC-5 are candidates for depot repair: NSN 5820-01-366-4121, R/T; NSN 5895-01-410-7447, Front Panel Assembly; NSN 5895-01-410-7442, Controller Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7443, Synthesizer Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7439, RF/IF Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7440, TX Driver Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7441, Transmitter Module; NSN 5895-01-399-5283, COMSEC Module; NSN 5895-01-399-5282, Modem Module; NSN 5998-01-446-5213, Power Regulator CCA. The current source for depot repair of these components is Raytheon Corporation, CAGE Code 37695. Technical data package such as engineering drawings, acceptance test procedures, and repair documentation, which are all required to establish depot repair capability, ARE NOT AVAILABLE from the Army. Suppliers capable of providing this service must so indicate in writing to: Commander, USACECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-COM-T-TM (KIM), Building 1202W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. The response MUST include documentation such as test results, depot maintenance repair procedures for the mentioned components, and copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, successfully provide this service. Successful supplier will be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Department of Defense and be delivered on time. The deadline for response is February 26, 2001.
